What a crazy past 10 days. It seems to me like it never stops. After thinking that it would finally come to some tranquility, I totally forgot that Halloween was coming around the corner. Always a crazy time of year.
Last night we headed over to Republic where our friend Brian from Btoll Entertainment was throwing a party. It's real funny seeing everyone's costumes and people vying for the most bizarre and stupid outfit award. The two costumes below were my 2 favorites of the evening.
First we have our main man Marcel, as you might remember the dancing king that I highlighted 2 weeks ago. He came as Spike Lee, he looked pretty damn close.
In typical form, he was creating up a storm on the dance floor.
My other favorite outfit belonged to Brian's brother, Jeff. He came as a sex starved bum with a WILL WORK 4 SEX sign. Apparently it worked.
The Tito's Tacos cup is pretty classic.
The "Monarchy":http://www.monarchycollection.com/ staff was in attendance for the evening. Here we have Amber and Nate (Monarchy designer) w/his girlfriend.
Brian came dressed as a tennis player. I decided to take the racket and use girl's bums as my target. Luckily, I didn't get any slaps across the face.
I had my good friends stop by the office yesterday to pick up some of the Holiday '06 gear before it hits stores. Mikey, Jeff and Steve joined us for the afternoon, after complaining of driving down so far to Downtown all the way from the grapevine of Beverly Hills and West L.A.
My friend David sent me this photo from Tokyo this past week. Here he is rocking one of the Spring '07 Five Four tees with his harem.
I stopped by the wash house on Thursday to see how the Five Four jeans were going. The first batch of stuff is done for Holiday, we're working on our 2nd round of washes which are getting done by Monday. Peep below, pretty crazy how stuff is done.
Wednesday night we celebrated the release of the "Peace of Mind" issue for "Flaunt Magazine":http://flaunt.com/ at the Roosevelt Hotel. The charity tees that are being sold at Ron Herman were also on sale. The event featured guest speakers, celebs, fashionistas and many many different walks of life.
Here's a pic with Luis Barajas, founder/editor-in-chief of Flaunt, myself and David Appel (designer) from Blue Tattoo.
After the event I headed over with my two friends, Hillary and Rebecca, over to Les Deux. Our friends "Nick and Brick":http://www.nickandbrick.com/ throw it every Wed. night, definitely one of the hottest nights in L.A. There was some parking lot pimpin' as the girls started dancing in the lot in anticipation. Who said white girls can't shake.
Our man Mazik stopped by the office as he was shooting a video for J Dilla in Downtown. It's always a pleasure talking to Mazik, he's definitely one of the most genuine people I know.
Tony from Fred Segal was also in the house.
It was also Richard's (FF assistant designer) birthday, he didn't look too happy as we all sung for him.
KB likes his girls young, but this time he definitely stooped to an all time low. Here he is with Angel's daughter. Nice mask freak.
It was also Steve's wedding from Monarchy last weekend. It was an intimate celebration with his family and close friends. Congrats Steve on the big day.
Some people say that it's the man that makes the clothes. My man Kanye West said the opposite. This instance below, definitely the clothes make this man. Dee looked more like Dee Indianfeld after he mish moshed his outfit w/my Dior's, Christine's scarf and of course he's toasting to the good life.
The next day we were headed over to Arizona to meet up with Brian since he was throwing a party out there. Our flight was scheduled for 10am out of Burbank. However, we were at the wedding and at 7pm as we just finished dinner I go to J Dubb, "lets leave right now." So he looked online and saw a flight and he goes to me, "yo there's one at 9:20 out of Burbank." I thought perfect, we can go to my house, get stuff and then I can go to J Dubb's place to pick him up and make it on time. After some thinking, I said fuck it, lets just do it. We raced out of the wedding with so much adrenaline pumping to make it on time. While racing down the 405 freeway I tell him to call Southwest to change the flights. The operator laughed as she goes the flight is at 19:20, at this point that was 10 minutes past already. So Mr. J Dubb mixed up the times and our night and attempted plan was shot down. The next morning we headed to Burbank, only to find that our flight was oversold and we get screwed since we checked in late. We had to go to LAX. Anyways, after going all over this damn city we finally made it on our flight to AZ.
We landed early afternoon and went over to the Mondrian in Scottsdale. We met up w/Brian, Brooke and Malik as they were already poolside. The scene in Scottsdale is very peaceful. We hung out for a few hours by the pool, got massages and drank some cocktails. Pardon my retarded looking toes in this shot below.
We were drinking bitch drinks all afternoon.
We had a nice dinner. The meals out there fall very much into that whole good old American hearty meal idealogy.
After that we went to Brian's party at the Pussy Cat Lounge. It was also a Monarchy fashion show that evening. The fashion shows I've been to are usually big productions, this one was quite young. What else can you expect from a fashion show in Arizona...
The night started off slow but ended up into a fun and wild night. Brian and DJ Marshall Barnes talked about the music lineup for the evening. Marshall killed it that night.
Brooke starts off the night with a gracious hello!
This also happened to be the last night in J Dubb Birthday week. He definitely pushed it to the limit.
J Dubb - next time get white filling on your cavities.
The initial toast of the night put everyone in good spirits.
And it also got the energy pumping for these two guys. LADIES - BEWARE WHEN YOU SEE THESE ANIMALS AT A CLUB NEAR YOU.
When I'm talking to girls at clubs, I usually give them the grin and it's smooth sailing from that point. Or I also get this, "like, what are you like grinning for andres." Stop saying LIKE woman.
J Dubb went up to this girl and asked her to take a photo. She said to him she just had sex and looks like a wreck.
Minutes later after J Dubb threw on his C game she was posing for the lens.
This guy all of a sudden in the middle of the club gets all crazy and is showing off his tattoo on his back. Yo bro, this ain't sexy back, not a good look.
After the club we headed back to our room. As soon as we got there, J Dubb passed out due to exhaustion, as he claims. This guy had gone out 8 nights in a row for his birthday, he was a train wreck.
We tried to wake him up but it didnt' really work.
Even a big pair of breasts wouldn't work.
Finally after 2 hours, around 4am, there was a sign of life at this point. By now we had moved him onto the floor because the guy was such a disaster. We caught a smile from him.
In the middle of our drunken time, I was on the computer looking at post game highlights from the day's football games. I noticed fellow USC Alumni Carson Palmer wearing a Five Four hoodie during his post-game conference.
We had an 8am flight the next morning, so we only caught 2 hours of sleep. Finally we arrived into LAX by 9am. We were home. Some much needed rest. We went to go pay for the parking fare and it was $30, we only had $29 in cash between us after the 3 city 3 day adventure of Vegas-L.A.-Phoenix.
After a crazy night, J Dubb was lights out again on the drive from LAX.
Prior to this, 3 days before that we were in Las Vegas on Friday night.
Oh man, what a wild one. We hate doing Vegas for more than 24 hours. Once again, Brian was doing a party in Vegas at Tao. Many of our friends were meeting there, we were celebrating a few birthdays, one including the drunken blithering idiot you saw a few photos above...J Dubb. We raced from the Five Four office around 4:30pm to catch out 6pm flight. L.A. traffic blows. This particular day it was slow because a truck had accidentally dumped a box of foam cups and plates on the freeway.
We started drinking in the airport and once again on the flight. Gotta love the anticipation of going to Vegas.
The night started off with a big dinner at the restaurant section of Tao. Mikey and Brian are discussing the game plan for the evening.
Every time I've been to Tao it's been a pretty insane legendary night. This one didn't stray from that at all.
J Dubb and I start the night off in the club with a roar.
I strike the retarded smile pose for the camera with Mikey...
Our friend, car collector and real estate magnate, Tyson Park joined us from L.A. for the night as well.
Lela and super stylist Renee joined us for the night as well. Always fun times with naynay.
1 hour into the evening J Dubb started getting rowdy.
Mikey was trying to lay down the Israeli mack game on Lela....MAHALO!
How awesome is Steve's hair. We call him Prince from Prince and the Revolution. Euro trash sucka!
Nick Cannon was also in the house celebrating his birthday.
Brian is such a sly guy.
After a crazy night of partying, your shirt always seems to get messed up. Mine in particular was a little spotty.
We had to catch a 2pm flight to be at Steve's wedding on time. We barely made our flight by 5 minutes. Until next time, Thank You Las Vegas.
The night before we celebrated J Dubb's birthday in L.A...for the second time.
Here we go again...
I met Frankie Needles from Bad Boy Latino that night. My friend Carlos from Endeavor reps him. Here's a shot of Frankie, my friend Stevie from the USC days, Carlos and myself. Frankie's doing a lot of big things, be on the look for him this next year to be blowing up.
Spiro and J Dubb were getting wild all night.
NOTE TO EVERYBODY - Don't show up at the club looking like these guys below, not a good look.
J Dubb birthday week started off at Koi and then headed to Element on Tuesday of last last week.
Element was off the hook that night. DJ five was in town and straight up killed it. They played techno for a bit, I felt like I was in Europe again.
This was a funny shot...looks like some cheesy jean company ad.
So now you saw how the week started and you saw how the week ended. J Dubb definitely had a wild one. The collage below is a good indication of how his week went. High highs and very low lows.

I was just talking to J about 5 minutes ago and told him he's going to die when he sees the blog. Especially the end collage. He wrote me the following via AIM:
"EU*****TY: Aight after this my next blog cameo gotta b with kids or something positive"
Until next time, be good kids. Don't end up like that guy J Dubb, he's a bad example.

WOMENS TEES...

Then we had one of our favorites stop by, Gomez Warren IV. Some of you know him as Gomez or that guy on youtube with guns and shoes. Anyways, we've known him since the early days of Five Four, he actually dj'd at the first five four party ever. Look out for him at clubs throughout the country or a television near you in some commercial or soap opera. By the way, he's also got 2 Emmys. Eat that bitch.
It sucks giving demotions to staff members, Eman just became head broomer.
J Dubb's birthday cake
We always do this cheesy celebration in the office, but we decided to spice it up and surprise him in the warehouse. Christine got a little too excited as usual and showed off some of her special moves.
Also, had producer Josh 1 stop by yesterday as well. Mad props.

Okay, that's enough for you to see!
One of our collaboration projects we've been working on for the last month is a project to benefit charity with Flaunt Magazine and Ron Herman. The shirts got finally done, its a mens and womens tee. It's actually our first womens tee...looks super fly. Check it out, we're really excited about how it turned out.
Thanks KB for modeling the shirt for us. He tried to put on the girls shirt but for some reason it didn't work out for him "yoooo".
Eman modeled the new tee for us as well, he wondered, what is "knot?"
We had Eric D-Lux from Power 106 roll through the office yesterday as well, big ups to him. He's doing some big things, be sure to look out for him.
Last night was our friend and early supporter since day one's birthday party, DJ Vice. The party was held at Avalon and Spider Club in Hollywood. It was a pretty fun time, the music was off the chain and the energy was right. There was this sick ass plane that said VICE Airways, peep below.
The highlight of the night was when two of our friends were dancing like it was the disco fever era. Marcel and Lu were getting it on like donkey kong. It was pretty amusing. I showed the photos to KB this morning, and if you guys know how KB sounds you know how funny the following sounded. So he looked at the photos and said to me, "yo, that dude look like he 13 years old, YO...what the hell!"
Here they are, who said white girls can't shake.
I liked Urkel's shirt.
Anyways, enough nonsense.
My good friend, David Katzenberg, who was in the FF Fall '06 campaign just got back into town after a few months. We chopped up shop, hooked him up w/some new threads and talked shit...
Amy from URB stopped by this week as well.
For all you big perverts out there, we had the beautiful Vida Guerra stop by. I'm sure many have seen her all over the Internet, Playboy, etc.
We also had this package sent from our vendor in India, I thought US Customs inspected all packages coming in from abroad....
FF supporter Ryan Braun from the Milwuakee Brewers sent us an autographed bat thanking us for the recent care package we sent to him, now we have another weapon to hit our staff with:)
This past weekend was very eventful.
Saturday we had one of our good friend's get married. I had to go looking for some dress shoes, since mine were all old and beat up looking. Gotta stay fly! Started the day off w/some good old Chipotle salad.
Then went to pick up some Bruno Magli shoes, definitely very inter-nac-ional.
Off to the wedding. Dee and I have a lot of respect and mad love for him, we congratulate you on your big day and wish the best for you. Seeing you and your new wife made us very happy, great things happen to great people! To keep his privacy, I converted him to Jack in the Crack.
That night I went to Area, ran into another early supporter of Five Four, the infamous "Dangermouse":http://www.dangermousesite.com/. You may know him from the Jay-Z's Gray Album, The Gorillaz' beats or most recently "Gnarls Barkley":http://www.gnarlsbarkley.com/. Anyways, he's a great talent and we both knew each other when we were coming up. He so happened to be rocking the first pair of Five Four jeans we ever made, all the way in '03. These jeans were so limited, only 300 pairs. He told me he still wears them about 3-4 days a week and they are his favorite pair.
Side note, Reggie Bush rocked a Five Four tee after his press conference this past Sunday. Congrats on scoring your first touchdown, all of us 'SC Alumni always doing big things...
Friday night was insane. I went to check out the Killers perform. They are one of my favorite bands, been a big fan since they first came out. What an amazing show. What a drunken night! Double fisting at rock concerts is a real bad look. Go pick up their new album, Sam's Town, it's off the hook.
Took the whole design team for lunch, these guys ate like vultures. The meal of choice was sushi. Before I could take a pic all the sushi was gone...
Had our holiday look book shoot last week as well. Some familiar faces, Oli and Travis. Our new model Eric rounded off the trio.
We also had a sacred dinner one late night at the office. Six of us ended up working until midnight, so I decided to treat everyone to a great dinner. We had it all, tables, bottles, all that good stuff.
Lastly, many of you guys saw our ads for our quarterly sample sale. It was a huge success. Thanks for everyone that came out and supported.
J Dubb got a little too excited at one point.
The best part of the sale were these two 50 year old guys. They heard that there was free food at the sample sale. They came in, looked around, went straight to the grill and got some burgers. Here is one of the culprits as he leaves the building, this whole scene was hilarious.
